Lions Run Fastest When Hungry

Your CCBC Dundalk Lions are now 21-5 and 9-3 in the conference after defeating Montgomery College (MD) Raptors 81-60 on Monday night. 

Nas'Zaire Simmons got Lions started scoring his first three shots and getting a quick 8 points on the board.The Raptors kept up and eventually took a 20-17 lead with under 10 to go in the first half. Alex Obase would go on a run of his own, scoring 8 straight and giving the Lions the lead with a massive dunk. After the and-one free throw the score was 25-23. The Lions would take this lead into halftime 35-33.

The Raptors would make the first bucket of the second half to tie the game up at 35 all. The Lions would respond by scoring 15 unanswered, shooting out to a 50-35 lead just 5 minutes into the second half. This cushion gave the Lions an easy road to victory. The lead was eventually 25 when Simmons hit a three to make it 70-45. The Lions would go on to win 81-60.

 

Nas'Zaire Simmons led the Lions with 23 points and 3 assists while having 6 steals and 3 rebounds. Simmons was 7/10 from the field, 5/6 from three and 5/6 at the line

Victor Ezeh had 14 points, 5 rebounds, 3 steals, 2 assists and a block

Cristian Viafara led the Lions with 6 rebounds and 3 assists while having 6 points and 2 blocks
