Comeback Keeps The Streak Alive

Comeback Keeps The Streak Alive

Your CCBC Dundalk Lions are now 18-4 and 6-2 in the conference after defeating our rival campus CCBC Catonsville 59-52 on Saturday. This puts the Lions win streak at 11 games.

This game was a tale of two halves if there ever was one. The Lions shot 5-29 (17%) from the field and 6-13 from the line in the first half. No Lion could get it going, 8 players scored but they only amassed a measly 17 points. When the Lions were down 10-4 5 minutes in, it was an ugly start and Coach King called a timeout. The Lions would take 10 minutes to double their 4 points and in that time the Cardinals tripled theirs. The score went from 10-4 to 30-8 which was the Cardinals largest lead in the game. The Lions offense came together the last 5 minutes but the Cardinals didn't slow down as the score at half was 38-17.

The Lions defense was the key to the comeback victory. 5 minutes into the second half it was 43-30 and the game seemed manageable. The Lions held the Cardinals scoreless for the next 8 minutes and it was 43-41. With 6 minutes remaining the game was tied 45-45. Jordan Randolph grabbed the rebound, gave it to Victor Ezeh who found the running Richard Hall, Jr for the dunk Watch the play here. This was the nail in the coffin for the Cardinals as the Lions would win 59-52.

Alex Obase led the Lions with 14 points and 8 rebounds
