10 Wins In a Row! I've Run Out Of Fingers!

Your CCBC Dundalk Lions are now 17-4 after winning their 10th straight, this one against Allegany College of Maryland Trojans 82-78. This win now puts the Lions at 5-2 in conference play.

Jordan Randolph started the Lions scoring with a fade away jumper. The Trojans answered to tie the game at 2-2 but the Lions would hold the lead until halftime. After going up 20-10, 5 minutes into the game the Trojans called a timeout. The Lions would stretch their lead out to 16, 42-26 with under 5 minutes remaining in the first half. The Trojans would finish the half strong closing the gap to 7, 44-37.

The Lions lead held around 8 points for a majority of the second half until the Trojans went on a 11-2 run to not only tie the game at 69 but take the lead 72-69. Alex Obase settled the emotion with a layup to make it 72-71. On the other end the Trojans go 1-2 at the line. The Lions miss a three and the Trojans get the rebound on the baseline but Richard Hall, Jr. traps the ball handler, gets the steal, makes the layup and draws the foul. After making the free throw Hall puts the Lions back in the lead 74-73. The Trojans would draw a foul down in the paint but miss both free throws. This Lions possession, the shot clock was at two seconds when Hall was able to gather the loose ball at the top of the key and score the grenade. Trojans answer with a layup, 76-75 Lions lead.

Chaos ensues in the next minute when there's less than 2 minutes remaining. The Lions run down the clock and settle for three that ends up being a wedgie. The Trojans shoot a three and Hall blocks it out of bounds. The Trojans inbounds the ball into the paint, he gets blocked by Cristian Viafara who grabs the rebound and draws the foul. Shooting one and one, Viafara misses the first and the Trojans are running. The missed three pointer set the Lions up for a 2 on 1 fast break where the Trojans intentionally fouled. Viafara made one free throw to make it 77-75. With only 26 seconds left and the Lions retaining possession the Trojans intentionally fouled. Nas'Zaire Simmons made both 79-75. With 9 seconds left the Trojans make a three and call a timeout, 79-78. Simmons draws the foul before the ball is inbounds, shooting one and one he misses the first but Obase is able to grab the contested rebound and the refs call jump ball. Lions had the arrow so with 7 seconds now remaining they're inbounding from under the basket. Victor Ezeh gets the ball, is fouled, makes both, 82-78, 2 seconds remaining.
