8 Straight Wins!

Your CCBC Dundalk Lions have won 8 straight after defeating Frederick Community College Cougars 69-65 on Wednesday night. This means they are 15-4 on the year and 4-2 in the conference.

The Lions jumped out to an early 14-3 lead on the Cougars. The lead would balloon to 18 (31-13) after Nas'Zaire Simmons made a three with about eight and half minutes left in the first half. The Cougars would claw back with the half finishing 36-28 Lions lead. Alex Obase was 5-5 for 11 points with 4 rebounds, 2 steals and a block in the 1st half. 

The Lions lead nearly disappeared as it was 41-39 but a 12-1 run brought them right back into a comfortable 53-40 lead and a Cougars timeout. Out of the timeout the Lions had another 7 (60-40) unanswered and the Cougars called another timeout. The Cougars now had a 12-1 run of their own to bring it back to 61-52 but the Lions were able to see the game out and win 69-65.

Alex Obase recorded a double-double, finishing as the leading scorer with 24, shooting 10-11, 11 rebounds, 3 steals, a block and an assist

Richard Hall, Jr. had 14 points, 4 rebounds and 3 steals

Nas'Zaire Simmons led the Lions with 6 assists while also having 6 points

The Lions will be back in action on Friday taking a trip to Bryant & Stratton (VA) for a rematch of the first game of the season which they lost 77-72 with tip scheduled for 7:00pm.
