Onto The Championship

The Lions are going to the NJCAA Region 20 Finals after defeating WVU Potomac State Catamounts 68-61 at skipjack arena.

The first half was a back and forth contest with the only break away coming from the Catamounts as they closed out the half on a 11-4 run. Turning what was a small 25-24 Lions lead into a 6 point deficit heading into the second half.

With only 3 minutes remaining in the game the Lions were able to take a 62-61 lead off of a Walta Berhane three. The Catamounts might have finished strong in the first half but they struggled at the end of the second as the Lions defense held them scoreless for the final four minutes of the game. The largest lead of the game for the Lions was the final score of 68-61.

Jordan Randolph was the leading scorer with 14 while having 3 rebounds, 3 steals and 2 assists

Victor Ezeh scored 13, had 8 rebounds and led the Lions with 3 assists and 2 blocks

Cristian Viafara came off the bench to lead the Lions with 11 rebounds to go with his 8 points
