Lions Keep on Rollin'
Your CCBC Dundalk Lions are now 3-2 after finding their first win at home last night against the Harrisburg Area Community College Hawks 92-49.
Victor Ezeh scored the first basket of the game with a layup. The Hawks would come down the court and drain a three to give them their only lead of the game (3-2). Ezeh would come down scoring another layup and convert the and-one opportunity, Lions lead 5-3 just 2 minutes into the game.
Then 5 scoreless minutes for both teams…
The Hawks would tie the game 5-5 at the 13:07 mark and stay within the game for a couple minutes. After those two and a half minutes were up, the Lions went on a 20-1 run, taking the game from 10-9 to 30-10. The first half would finish with the Lions leading 45-20.
The second half was more of the same as the Lions continued their dominance.
With less than a minute remaining and the shot clock expiring, the Lions had a shot blocked, rebounded by Amadin Collette who turned and put up the fadeaway jumper to double up the Hawks 92-46. The hawks would hit a three before the game ended 92-49.
Victor Ezeh led the Lions with 23 points on 10-17 from the floor and filled up the stat sheet with 6 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals, a block and 0 turnovers
Walta Berhane had an impressive showing scoring 21, led the team in rebounds with 8, 3 assists, and 0 turnovers. Berhane was on the bench for the first half but started the second half and took over the point while out there.
Jordan Randolph was the leader in assists with 6 while scoring 12 and grabbing 3 boards
Amaud Bennett only played in the second half but made his minutes count as he scored 11, 3-4 from deep, 3 rebounds and 2 assists
