Beaver Recap

In the battle of the CCBC's, Dundalk fell short 64-63 to the Community College of Beaver County Titans.

The first half started out with the Titans outsourcing the Lions 12-4 and the Lions taking an early timeout to regroup. The Lions battled back and would tie the game at 15-15. Dundalk would take and build a decent lead as we got closer to halftime. Right before the end of the half the Titans would gain some momentum but the Lions would lead 43-37.

The second half was all about defense. There were multiple shot clock violations for both teams. The Titans would slowly close the gap, out scoring the Lions 11-6 in the opening 9 minutes of the second half with the Lions leading by 1, 49-48. With 4:17 left in the game the Lions would tie it 58-58 off of a Murray Grant 3. The Titans took the lead right back and would hold it for the rest of the game. The Lions pressed and trapped before they had to intentionally foul. The Lions had the ball with 15 seconds left down by 1 but could not score the basket.

The Lions lost their second game in the past three games by a point. There are only three games left in the season and the Lions are still fighting for a playoff spot.

Antonio Jenkins had another double-double and led the Lions with 20 points and 13 rebounds. Jordan Foster had 15 points 5 assists and 4 rebounds.
