Lions Lose to Lakers

The Lions lost both games of the Region 20 doubleheader versus to Garret College Lakers 18-5 and 12-2. They are now 2-9 on the year and 0-5 in the conference.

 

Game One: Lakers 18 - Lions 5 (5 inn.)

 

In the bottom of the second Cameron Cooke made it on base and was able to advance to second off a groundball from Ryan Kennedy. Xavier Harris was able to drive him home from 2nd base with a single to right.

In the bottom of the 5th with Coreem Wright hit his first home run of the season scoring X Harris who reached on an error.

 

Game Two: Lakers 12 - Lions 2 (5 inn.)

 

The Lions had a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the 1st after Ethan Rainier and Parker Harris hit back to back doubles. Preston McDevitt pitched a great game. He retired the first 6 batters easily. Had a hiccup in the 3rd when he hit the leadoff man but settled back in in the 4th.

Ethan Rainier - 2 for 6 2B, R

Matthew Freeman - 2 for 3

Parker Harris - 2 for 6 2B, RBI
