Lions Drop DH vs AACC

Your CCBC Dundalk Lions lost both games of the Region 20 doubleheader versus the Anne Arundel Community College Riverhawks 25-7 in 5 innings and 12-3 in game two.

Game One: AACC 25 - Dundalk 7 (5 inn.)

The Lions started out in front, scoring in the bottom of the 1st after a scoreless first inning from Brody Cassedy. Ryan Kennedy and Parker Harris drew back to back walks to start the inning. Coreem Wright moved Kennedy and Harris over. Xavier Harris scored Kennedy and moved Harris to third. Ethan Rainier hit an RBI single, scoring Harris

Again in the 3rd inning P Harris drew a walk, as did Wright. X Harris singled to right to score P Harris. Seth Duncan pinch hit for Rainier and Duncan was hit by a pitch to load the bases. Aiden Bonds took the first pitch deep over the left field wall for the Grand Slam! And the Lions first home run of the season.

Errors were costly for the Lions as they gave up 8

Game Two: AACC 12 - Dundalk 3 

As the sun was setting in the bottom of the 5th inning the Lions offense came alive. Xavier Felix reached on an error with 2 outs to keep the Lions alive. Kennedy followed it up with a walk, advancing Felix. Rainier hit a single to right to score Felix making it 9-1.

In the 6th Wright got the inning started with a single to left on the first pitch. Stole second and was able to advance to 3rd on a groundball from Bonds. X Harris would ground out as well to score Wright. 

With two outs and the bases empty Brody Cassedy got the Lions going again with a double. Tucker Underhill was able to hit a single to center field to score Cassedy.

Xavier Harris DH/SS - 3 for 6 3 RBI, R, 2 SB

Ethan Rainier CF - 2 for 4 2 RBI, BB, 2 SB

Ryan Kennedy 3B - 1 for 4 R, 3 BB, SB
