Dundalk, Md. - The Lions won 17-4 against Delaware County Community College (Media, Pa.) on Wednesday afternoon. It was a cold overcast afternoon when the first pitch was thrown. The Lions had 15 hits in total when it was all said and done.

The bottom of the first started off with a leadoff double from Ivan Martinez. After a balk and a wild pitch, Martinez made it home. Then with two outs Travis Buckmon drew a walk and stole second. Ryan Gomez then hit a single to get Buckmon to third. Another wild pitch and both runners advance. Then Aarron Rodriguez singles to bring Gomez home but after a throwing error sends the ball into center field Rodriguez tries for the inside the park home run and came up short. Lions 3-0 at the end of the 1st inning.

Delaware answered back by loading the bases with back to back singles and a walk. A ground all up the middle created an out at second but a run was scored. Brent Kline struck out the next batter but the runner on first stole second and a bad threw cleared the bases to tie the game at 3-3.

The Lions answered with a rally of their own started out by a Chase Uhlich getting hit by a pitch and a single from Chayne Radnetter. A ground ball from Christopher Dockins moved both the runners over to second and third. Then ground ball from Ivan Martinez scored Uhlich and left  Radnetter at third. Now with the bases empty and a 5-3 lead Mateo Gil gets on with a single, Bryant Gutierrez draws a walk and Travis Buckmon hits a ball over the fence. 3-run homerun Lions lead 8-3.

The third inning should have been started with a ground ball out but an error allowed the runner to reach second base. One wild pitch later he was on third. The next batter drew a walk and now there are runners on first and third with no outs. The Phantoms then attempt a double steal and come up with a run and a man on second. The inning ended with back to back strikeouts 8-4.

Bottom of the fourth, two outs. Two men on and Aarron Rodriguez hits a double to score them both. Two wild pitches later and Rodriguez scores 11-4. Chayne Radnetter singles and brings in a run. Christopher Dockins hits a double followed by an Ivan Martinez single to bring Radnetter home. Dockins then scores on a balk 14-4.

In the bottom of the sixth the bases were loaded from walks. A wild pitch scores the runner on third then another walk to load the bases again. Bryant Gutierrez hits a single to score a run and move everyone up a base. A wild pitch scores another run 17-4.
